DIY Pajama Pants Without a Pattern

Some of you saw my picture I posted on Facebook and Instagram of the pile of fabric that I got a Jo-Ann's. They were having such a great sale (50% off of their clearance red tags!) PLUS I had a 20% off your entire purchase coupon! How could I resist such a great offer??

A friend asked what all I was planning on making with so much fabric. One of my projects was to make matching pajama pants for me and Abigail. I want to start the tradition that my kids open a present on Christmas Eve that contains Christmas jammies and some other little goodies. I saw this flannel Christmas light fabric that was on super sale and I just HAD to get it! I probably got more than I actually needed for just 2 pairs of pants... I'll find some other fun thing to make with it!

I don't have a pattern for pajama pants, but thought they couldn't be that hard to make. So I took to Pinterest, and I found the perfect tutorial for what I wanted to do. You can find the tutorial that I used here. It is super easy to follow, and the outcome is great! My little model wouldn't hold very still and I didn't have my mother in law's awesome camera to take any good pictures so you'll just have to settle for pictures from my phone!

I threw in this one because I think it is adorable! She loves pumpkins!

I absolutely love them! I still have to make my pair so I'll put an update when I do so. I might even add in some pockets. Who doesn't love a good pajama pant with pockets?!

P.S. Yes, I realize the Christmas lights are hanging UP instead of DOWN... I got a little too happy-go-lucky when I was cutting the fabric to make sure it was the right direction. I'll be sure to make them hang down when I make my pair. I think they're cute either way!

Happy October!

Today is the first day of October! I can't believe it! So many great things are happening this month, some of them I can't share yet, but it is going to be an awesome month!

To celebrate the upcoming festivities, I have put together a little treat for my readers. A few time in my childhood we would make cookies and take them to our neighbors and friends, with cute little signs just like this one. I can't wait to take Abigail this year!

There are two pages, they don't necessarily have to be a front and a back. Just follow the directions on the second page and have fun! I'll make another blog post when we go BOO'ing ourselves! Toodles!
